8 districts identified as 'hypersensitive'

BIHARSHARIF: Director general of police WH Khan, during his visit here on Thursday, said police have identified Nalanda and seven other districts as "hypersensitive" for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections and 50 companies of para-military force have been demanded from the Centre to ensure peaceful polls.

BIHARSHARIF: Director general of police WH Khan, during his visit here on Thursday, said police have identified Nalanda and seven other districts as "hypersensitive" for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections and 50 companies of para-military force have been demanded from the Centre to ensure peaceful polls.
Besides Nalanda, which is represented by defence minister and Janata Dal(U) president George Fernandes, the other districts identified were Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Nawada, Gaya, Aurangabad, Purnia and Bhojpur, Khan said.

The election commission and the Union home ministry have been informed about it and asked to provide at least 50 companies of para-military force. Khan said two companies of Bihar Military Force will also be provided so that the election can be conducted
